I have two of these, one on my loaded touring bike and one on my Mongoose Dolomite. Light years better than the factory Dolomite headset, much smoother, more precise and tighter. While this headset is heavy, I've had no issues with the Touring's and doubt I'll ever need to replace it. If you build a lightweight carbon road bike and this fits you will hate it for its weight. If you're looking for a tough headset for use on tandems, mountain bikes, touring bikes and you don't care about weight and you're looking for a headset that will take the abuse, hard hits or tough life, I can do it. I can't think of a better headset for this low price. No, this is not a cartridge chamber, but bullets in a cage. No, it's not as pretty as Chris King's with fancy anodizing, light weight and great engraving, but it's a humble headset press that does its job well.
