These levelers are made from very hard plastic and are designed to withstand much tougher conditions than I expected. The holes you see on the sides do not go through so the center is completely solid to support the pendant's weight. They were a bit too long for my 2 axle trailer but I cut one of them off a few inches according to the instructions (a miter saw will come in handy for this) and they fit great now. It's a lot easier to level the trailer now, but I have to be careful when flipping the levelers over so the short one doesn't get stuck between the wheels. Just go slowly and there is no problem.
