Every time I bang these sticks, I feel a slight pang of regret. First, on the first day, a magnet fell out of the top bar. I found it and stuck it on myself. Problem solved. But then I took him to the set. The screws began to loosen very quickly. The sticks are made of wood, which is light and cheap. It has a strange plastic sound. I think it's just not meaty enough. I was on set talking to my first assistant and he said he bought the same pair and we both agree it was the same mistake. Pearstone was only $10-$20 more expensive and has the feel you'd expect from a cracker. Solid, sharp, sturdy and doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. It's just not the buy. We used a pearstone on the same shoot and I never opened it up. I was a little embarrassed doing it. It's not like it makes a HUGE difference because it works. But cinema is an industry that requires industrial quality tools. This is NOT ready for prime time. Get a good one. It will last longer, work better, and you won't have that feeling every time you speak. "Name of your project, Yadda Yadda Stage, Take Anything. MARK". [HERDE.] "Aaaah. Damn I have to buy a new tablet, that sucks." It's so annoying. It just drives you crazy! The tablet MUST start the action with [BOOM] and ACTION! [Herd] Uughh, that sucks. Action. Enough said!
