Suitable for beginners and non-Apple product owners

Made of good material and does the job!**Update**After a few uses, the ink becomes difficult to wipe off. The magnetic cotton fell in the middle of shooting. It lasted me a good 3 years. I think this is a good starter cracker for those who prefer the older school approach. Which I don't mind and I have a second one to back up. I have updated "Since Then" to the digital version, film number 8 for my iPad.

Just save up for the best tablet.

OK. So I figured all slates were created equal, how wrong I was. When this tablet arrived and I opened the box all the screws were loose, hit 1. I tightened them up, did a few test pops and got on with my work. I tested the Film Tools dry slate eraser on this, the eraser didn't erase it, stroke 2. I had to use rubbing alcohol to remove it. I decided to put it on stage anyway. In the middle of the first scene, the screws came loose, the magnet popped out, and the erasure didn't happen. The…

THIS DEAL AT A GOOD PRICE

In the days of movies with dual sound systems, the clapper board was an essential tool - not just for commenting on every scene and take, but for making sure the movie and Nagra were in sync. No matter how you are going to use it, AFAITH Professional is the way to go! It's heavy, very well made and even comes with a powerful magnet to hold the flap securely to the slate. Whether in film or video production or even as a stylish wall decoration, AFAITH cannot be surpassed in terms of…

A serious review of film processors

I have worked with excellent equipment and can say. it's not that. They say you get what you pay for. Pros: - It makes noise to keep the audio in sync - Dry Erase. Cons: - The sound it makes is like hitting two plastic sticks. - The screws holding the baffle plate can be easily loosened. I must have a wrench with me to hold it in place. But too tight and it doesn't pop. - After using it for 3, count them 1, 2, 3, shoot, the ink will start to come off. The wetness of the markers must have…

Etching Urgently Needed

I wish the black letters weren't a black cured pastel color that gets scraped off with your fingernail or especially when you run your dry marker over it as erasing the marker means erasing the color . Even if the lettering has been etched into the plastic - theoretically you could - scrape off the pastel color and go over the notch each time before writing your information to allow the engraving to be filled in with the black dry erase. But it's an unnecessary pain (think of it like a…

Really good, but not without problems.

Love this board, I'm very glad I have the dry erase board, it makes my job so much easier especially when writing. But he has some problems. As another reviewer said, it's difficult to completely erase a dry-erase marker, even with Lysol, which is a real bummer if you plan to use it on multiple projects. I like to print out what I can, like the names of the production, director and cinematographer, and stick them on film so the problem is solved, but having to change the scene and so many…

WHAT A PACKAGE!

Every time I bang these sticks, I feel a slight pang of regret. First, on the first day, a magnet fell out of the top bar. I found it and stuck it on myself. Problem solved. But then I took him to the set. The screws began to loosen very quickly. The sticks are made of wood, which is light and cheap. It has a strange plastic sound. I think it's just not meaty enough. I was on set talking to my first assistant and he said he bought the same pair and we both agree it was the same mistake…
