I wish the black letters weren't a black cured pastel color that gets scraped off with your fingernail or especially when you run your dry marker over it as erasing the marker means erasing the color . Even if the lettering has been etched into the plastic - theoretically you could - scrape off the pastel color and go over the notch each time before writing your information to allow the engraving to be filled in with the black dry erase. But it's an unnecessary pain (think of it like a stencil). Or you can leave the pastel color and cover with thin tape, but what do we need that for? I won't address other people's complaints as this is somewhat subjective. It is a bit see-through and it is advisable to use a solid sheet of thick paper behind it. I had no problems with either the wooden key or the magnet. It would be nice if the colored stripes were painted on instead of glued on. more durable! Also, it would be nice if the opposite side also had white/grey/black stripes (color on the main side).
