After a simple installation, a shortcut with a picture of a microscope appeared on the desktop. The disc was engraved with "2020", but the software is outdated. Fortunately, the instructions contained the address of the site from which you can download the necessary firewood. I uninstalled the old version through the "Settings" menu and installed everything again. To my surprise, there was only one file in the Zip archive - the installation file. This software weighs only a few kilobytes, so at the installation stage it will not damage the PC memory in any way. I would like to note the disadvantage of HiView 1.4 software - the program does not allow you to download photos and videos to a PC or tablet! But saves all materials in the internal memory of the software. They can be deleted and signed. I suspect that the developers themselves will fix this situation soon. I wrote to them. Next, let's talk about the product itself. The microscope comes with: - software installation instructions; - driver; - a plastic bracket with a velvet coating on the back of the leg; - a tool for measuring the size of an object (sorry, I don’t know the scientific name). To be honest - the bracket is very unstable, made entirely of plastic. But it does make it lighter. And you can make a similar stand with your own hands. It has a hinge-type position lock and a microscope mount. The microscope is of high quality. It has a zoom control, a photo button and a protective cap on the lens. The wire is not "fake", but even too strong and reliable. Its length is about a meter, it is quite enough for a desktop, since it is equally necessary to place the device next to the computer's USB port "at hand". There is an additional light regulator on the wire. You can take both too bright pictures and too dark ones. And most importantly, photos can be "clicked" with a button located on the software interface. The video starts and stops in the same way. You can record videos with sound. In this way, blurring of the image, which occurs due to the instability of the arm, can be avoided. More about the eyepiece. The microscope does not correspond to the declared magnification X1600. But for such money it is a sin to complain! LED backlight is cold, powerful enough. In my case with minerals, it gives strong highlights. The device is best used for the study of substances and objects with a matte surface. Avoid extraneous lighting. I will not describe the detailed characteristics. I absolutely did not like looking at my trophy stones. Although I was able to see inclusions of gold in some of them. It is very difficult to consider drusen, intergrowths of crystals, various complex aggregates. Since in my collection there are a lot of ornamental quartz, chalcedony, rock crystal - they all glare very much. It was possible to consider only beryl, which has imperfect cleavage and conchoidal fracture. Maybe I'm a bad operator. Everything needs experience and practice. But I do not want to sin on the device. I really liked looking at various products from the refrigerator!))))
