Review on 💾 Inateck Aluminum SATA Hard Drive Docking Station, USB 3.0 SSD Dock, Dual Bay, FD2102 by Andy Baudoin

People be careful. Update 03/18/21 I tested the replacement dock sent by Inotek and lo and behold it doesn't work at speed 3.0. I've tested it with multiple tools on multiple computers and it runs at speed 2.0 on all of them. I have sent the test results to Inotek along with the original dock tests that failed for them to compare. The emails between me and those on the other end were arguing. They wanted more tests which I gave them. At one point I realized that the employee didn't even understand what benchmarking is, so I asked her to get in touch with one of her engineers for an explanation. Haven't gotten an answer yet so I'm stuck on the Slooow Dock. So my rating goes down again. It's funny that these companies buy goods from China, put their name on them and don't require product quality control. Update 03/06/21 My trust in Inotek has been restored. I emailed the company, found a friendly girl who agreed to replace the old dock and didn't have to return the old one until I got the new one. Because the customer service was so good and the replacement was delivered so quickly, I'm raising my rating again. The company's customer service means a lot to me and Inotek is top notch. UPDATE 02/28/21. This item has not exceeded the Revain return period of 3 weeks. Needless to say I'm not happy. I can't do very well without a properly working hard drive dock. I'm sorry, Inatek. I had to deduct a few stars. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere. I tried to contact Inatek. If they get it right, I'll improve my score. Let's see how their customer service changes. My old Inotek dock has lasted several years of daily use. So if I can get the same from this one, that's a win for me. Thanks Inotek. Works very well. I use this every day for storage and backup. When my old one broke, I immediately ordered this one. I don't use the clone feature because I have my own backup and restore software so I can't confirm how it works in the clone department. I couldn't do without it in my computer repair business.
