Works well, fast, very accurate when cloning, a little warning

I chose this because my old dock failed while writing and I have a partially damaged drive. As a docking station with two USB 3 drives, it works perfectly. As far as cloning goes, it works exactly as advertised - a bit-for-bit identical copy of the original, including (as expected) all disk metadata such as UUID, partitioning, etc. I used this identical copy to try and recover it a damaged file system without risking the still working parts of the original. The corruption was beyond repair, but

I am a person who constantly measures the speed of a hard drive. Using a $20 Inateck USB 3.0 SATA Single Drive Adapter with a power cable, I can get my Western Digital 74 GB drive at 10,000 rpm read and write speeds of 88 MB/s and 91 MB/s. (Yes, for some weird reason, this disc has a faster write speed). With this docking station from Inateck, the same drive runs at 59 MB/s reading and 70 MB/s writing. I ran the test several times and got the exact same result. I even tried different USB 3.0โ€ฆ

Inateck 2 SATA Drive Bay Docking Station

This drive docking station is cool. Aluminum body Comes with USB 3 cable and power adapter Plug and play with Windows 7 and above A laptop-sized or regular desktop-sized drive can be inserted into either of the two slots that feature sliding doors that the slots cover the side when the disc is inserted into the slot. This is by far the best SATA drive dock I have ever owned. Drives can be exchanged during operation. This is a fast interface when connected to a USB3 port, YMMV: 217MB/s whenโ€ฆ

Really comfortable! for computer accessories and peripherals

I no longer need to download hdclone Enterprise Edition! It clones bit by bit without having to connect to a computer. It could clone dying and damaged hard drives without any problems. I even had a problematic slow read speed drive that couldn't be recognized by a BIOS cloned with it. I seriously thought I would have to find someone with Rapidspar or Deepspar or pc3000 to get this, but it really worked! Very impressive!

Pros
  • Trial version for one year

  • I vaguely remember

Excellent Hard Drive Docking Station

Bought two of these to back up my production software system. We have found the devices to be reliable (meaning they won't drop the drive connection at an unexpected moment), have very high data transfer speeds (meaning true USB 3.1 speeds) and low power consumption (meaning efficiency lowers running costs and reduces heat loss). ). affecting your entire system). System). One request: I would prefer the duplicate button to be smaller and not on the front of the device (i.e. increased risk ofโ€ฆ

Data stored for more than 20 years

I recently replaced the old version of this dock with the current version. My main data drive recently had a hardware problem. I use this dock for both data drive connection and backup. With this backup system, restoring my system was (almost) as easy as replacing a backup drive with a primary drive. More details below. . . .My computer is an iMac (currently a late 2015 model). After the earlier iMac died, I switched to storing my user data on an external drive. I used an Inateck dockingโ€ฆ

Replaces the Inotek I've had for several years

People be careful. Update 03/18/21 I tested the replacement dock sent by Inotek and lo and behold it doesn't work at speed 3.0. I've tested it with multiple tools on multiple computers and it runs at speed 2.0 on all of them. I have sent the test results to Inotek along with the original dock tests that failed for them to compare. The emails between me and those on the other end were arguing. They wanted more tests which I gave them. At one point I realized that the employee didn't evenโ€ฆ

Gets the Job Done - Hard Drive Accessories

hard drives for archiving purposes. I don't use the clone option for this because I'm really tired of relying on a button to clone disk properly. It also depends on the type of information on the disk being cloned. I like the metal body, it gives a nice goofy feel to the build quality of this docking station. There is a black button on the front that needs to be pressed to start the cloning process. When you use this function, pay attention to which slot you insert the drive to be cloned andโ€ฆ
