This is real aluminum that will not rust underneath after years of outdoor use. The tube has an inner diameter of about 2.5 cm, which is great for passing cables through to hide the cable. The color is somewhere between white and beige. Casting has some downsides, but that doesn't matter. The only major flaw is that the set screw that attaches the head to the pipe doesn't hold the head very tight. So when you install it like in my photos the day before the head can rock back and forth. I used some window sealant to seal it tight. If it wasn't for this bad design trait I would have given it 4 stars.
