I use it for night lighting from late night to early morning. I bought this motion sensor to replace my previous motion sensor which stopped working after 1 year. I like that it uses AAA batteries. Setup was easy. I turned on my phone, opened the Alexa app, and clicked Devices. I put batteries in the motion sensor, asked Alexa to open new devices. The motion detection sensor appeared in my device list. Edited the name for my location. Went to subroutines, clicked the plus button to add a subroutine, clicked the motion sensor, clicked detected and saved. The next page is for the schedule of the day and time. I use "Every Day" and set my own schedule. I left the suppression duration at 0, saved. I added action from a smart home and added an existing smart dimmable light. I've pressed power on and set the brightness to 5%, there's more than enough light to see where I'm going and not glare. Saved. At the moment you have 2 options. If you want the light to turn off after a certain number of minutes, you can add an action, then click Wait from the list and choose the minutes you want it to turn off. If you choose to do this, you have to add an action, click on the smart home, select the same light and turn off the power. Save on computer. Then you have to go back to this process, open the process, press the light with your finger and drag this action under the time limit. Option #2, create a new procedure like motion detection, this time click "Not detected", use the same "Add" action, click "Smart Home", select the same light and turn on the device off. Save on computer. If you enter a dark room and stay in it for a long time, the sensor will turn on the light, but if you use option 1, the light will turn off at the specified minutes. Option 2 turns off the light when you stop moving or leave the room. Alexa software developers give us more options for this process.
