I've bought particle board desks that were more solid than this. The corners are held on with 4 tiny weld tacks (most of which are burned through). 2 of the 14 bolts were damaged, and 1 of the holes for the bolts were damaged. After tapping the holes and chasing the threads on the bolts assembly was easy enough, though the directions don't put to much emphasis on the orientation of the legs so that you can mount the bottom cross bars, but I didn't pay enough attention, so that's a 50/50 I think.Once assembled, this desk is flimsy. There is no lateral stability at all, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be returned soon, but I'm going to give it a try. I bought this to hold a 3d printer and standard printer, but I'm pretty worried the side to side motion of both will eventually break this desk.Apart from stability, the legs were scuffed and dented, though the box was undamaged. The desk top also had 2 chips missing from it once I flipped it over (I left this on the styrofoam it shipped on for assembly, so this chip happened at some point before packaging). The edges of the laminate are white and stick out like a sore thumb at each seam.The more I type, the more I think I'm being too generous with 3 stars.
