Considering the price, the quality and the features, that's not a problem. I hate shoes that need "breaking in". You should feel comfortable from day one. However, I have high arches and a history of plantar fasciitis. The insoles support my arch very well. My feet are comfortable all day long. The design gets many compliments. They sparkle in the right light, as if diamond dust were on them. I love that this style has a black sole to hide stains and dirt. I think they stay cleaner longer than if you buy a white sole model. I have narrow feet so I had to tighten the laces to keep the shoes in place. They don't really tell you what to do with the extra lace, so I just wrapped it around the criss-cross laces to hold it.
