When we first got this, it seemed to be pretty accurate. I could tell my daughter had a fever and it was registering between 100-102. However within just a couple days the accuracy completely stopped working and now it is clearly giving incorrect readings . Temperatures are usually in the 95-96 range which is ridiculously low for our family on average. It is also a different temperature each time you try it even multiple times in a row.Switching it from a forehead reader to an ear thermometer is also a bit tricky. The cap used for the forehead comes off and then you will see the ear thermometer part. I could not figure that out myself and based on other reviews, it is clearly not obvious to people. My teenage daughter figured it so maybe it depends on the user. Ha ha. I don’t recommend this though because it ended up being a worthless waste of money and since I tossed the packaging I doubt I can return it.
