My girlfriend's dog that looked a lot like this one died... and I had to buy this for her. Unfortunately it took over a month to ship from China so I missed the opportunity to give her this as a Christmas present. It continued to be very well received. This photo makes it so unique...her dog was lying in exactly the same position which was nice because she could put a pillow on the bed and as she walked past the room she spoke for a split second her mind thought, she would be, little one, the dog is still there. The pillow is a bit small personally, it took me 2 different tries to find a pillow that fits in... a feather pillow works best because you can kind of compress and stuff it. It looks a bit drained on the sides and crowded in the middle, and there doesn't seem to be much that can be done about that. Maybe it's better to fill the pillow with feathers than with an insert? As for the fabric, it looks more like burlap than I expected. Looks and feels cheap...but I think it's a unique piece that's more for display. I don't think it will last long when used, but just putting it on the bed I don't think the stitching will unravel as others have mentioned. Although the fabric looks a bit like burlap and cheap... the photo of the dog is very realistic and vivid. I would not wash it, but the photo without the packaging looks very realistic. All in all, this would make a good gift for someone who lost their pet...or for yourself if you love Boston Terriers. It captures her character well. I do not regret the purchase, although the delivery took a month.
