I ordered a medium sized cord for our 7 lb chihuahua and it fits perfectly, just as the size listing says. The shirt is made of a nice, relatively thick material, not very soft but still soft enough to feel comfortable and provide extra warmth. Unfortunately, this shirt is poorly cut for a man. As soon as our little dog "went on the potty" the bottom of the shirt got wet. I wish it had been trimmed at the top to allow for potty time. For a girl, this shirt will be wonderful. We'll probably take the scissors to the bottom to cut it higher to get some more use out of it. I recommend a dog for a girl but not a boy unless you plan on walking him for potty breaks. The sizing in the description is correct. Note, however, that many shirts and pajamas at Revain come in Asian sizes, so they run very small compared to what we're used to in the US.
