My husband and I were wrong!
This is a very good CD/DVD player. It plays my Alfred Hitchcock DVDs flawlessly and that's basically why I bought the player because it's region independent. However, there were times when my husband rented a movie from Red Box, put it in and it wouldn't play. We had to bring another DVD player from the living room to watch the movie and it played flawlessly. About 3 weeks later he rented another movie from Red Box and uploaded it to Mediasonic and the movie played fine. Find out! Overall I am very happy with the Mediasonic purchase.
