well, I'm really sad right now. I made a bracelet with a pole inside and it went fine, but just now I was trying to take the pole out to put the loom away and I broke the loom in half. The rod was difficult to insert and even more difficult to remove, and I'm usually pretty good at this sort of thing, so I should have been able to remove it. But you have to bend both the loom and the pole to have any hope of getting it off, and it's very easy to slip and just damage the loom. However, when using the loom, I found myself hunched over a lot. I thought it would be nice to have a loom which I could hold in my hand, but I often had to put it on my knees to make beads, so maybe a loom sitting on a table would be better. I think I'll screw the ends to a makeshift frame like someone else said they would. The ends are the important part.
