Tall enough and wide enough for a range of kitchen towels! Can even hold 2 at a time.The holder is quite tall, but if it were shorter, the longer towels might "puddle” on the base. Also like that however my family rehangs the towel (never straight), it does not touch the counter. The height works for me on the island because I have a tall, bushy ivy plant behind it. If it were placed on a wall, I doubt the height would even be noticeable!The holder is very sturdy. There is no chance of this tipping over unless someone really hits it. The base is wide, which makes this possible.Really like the nickel finish; however, it does show water spots. A solution: dab them before putting the towel back on the rack, then dampen the towel and wipe the base down before throwing it in the laundry every night!As for assembly…no problems whatsoever. Just make sure you have the solid part of the base down, as intended. I noticed a couple of people tried installing the other way and had problems with screw length.Pricing…compared several options and this seemed to be the right choice. After using it for a couple of weeks, I can confirm that it’s a great product and great price for hanging kitchen towels!
