Not just for men. good for growing

I hate to admit it, but it's true - I am a woman with hirsutism. I had to start shaving my chin when I was 14 and have been shaving every day since (I'm 35 now). I was unemployed for a while in 2015 so I let my chin hair grow back for about a week and then I went to one of these nail extension and waxing shops and tried to grow my chin. It was a failure. The woman who did this used the fabric wax strips they use for eyebrows and all they did was stick scraps of fabric to my face. And she tried to say that she didn't have waxing equipment and that I needed electrolysis. She was right, I was in dire need of electrolysis, but that wasn't an option for me until 2018. I tried it and went through 3 sessions totaling over $300 before saying enough was enough; it doesn't work well or fast enough to justify the cost. A few months later I decided to buy a backlit mirror and rip it out every night. That was satisfying but not always irritating; sometimes it just broke off. Also, I bled profusely trying to dig up the root with my sharp tweezers. All of this resulted in even more discoloration of my face. Now in quarantine I've decided to let my sideburns grow out for two weeks just to see what happens. I almost grew a beard, that happened. But before I started growing it, I ordered this wax. I realized that when my hair is like a man's, I need men's wax. I've been watching YouTube videos of men getting waxed and I thought the wax for men might be a bit different than the wax sold for women. Over the years I've tried using sugaring, both homemade and store-bought (I had my own when I was in high school and I ended up destroying one of my mom's plastic bowls and she was angry), me have tried all kinds of nair wax strips and depilatory creams, and as i said, shaving and depilatory at the nail salon. Nothing really worked well enough to keep going. Electrolysis didn't work either (maybe if I had more money and free time than now). After letting things wax for two weeks and feeling like I could probably grow more jaw hair faster and thicker than most men I know, I warmed up this wax. Since I don't have a wax melter, I wrapped it in foil and placed it in a saucepan, first over medium and then low heat. I don't have those wooden chopsticks that are used in stores, but I did have a few wooden chopsticks that weren't separated. They were just right for what I needed. Waxing was a lot less painful than plucking and I loved the dark color and glossy sheen of the product. I didn't really like the strong masculine scent, but this is a wax for men. Ideal for coarse chin/jaw/beard hair. It's definitely made specifically for this type of hair because I tested it on my upper lip. While I could theoretically grow a Dumbledore-style beard on my chin, I only have peach fuzz on my upper lip. He didn't hold his hair well at all. FYI, every video I've watched said to cleanse, exfoliate, and then powder with talc or cornstarch before depilating. First, I took a shower and scrub, then sprinkled my face with cornstarch. Cornstarch seemed essential for most hair removal. This took quite a while because I noticed my beard was growing in all directions so I had to go through it a few different ways. You should always apply and remove in the direction of hair growth. Overall, I'm just amazed at how well it worked. After I was done, I sat for a while looking at the hairiest bits of torn wax. I'm really a bit pissed that there isn't such a good product out there for women, but I sincerely hope I can buy it for as long as I need it. I started waxing hoping that what happened to my eyebrows would also happen to my mustache. I waxed my eyebrows for 7-8 years before I no longer needed it. The hair has stopped growing. Even if it takes so long on my chin hair, I'll try. It's sooooo smooth compared to shaving or plucking. I don't want to go back, even if it takes longer. To be honest, my only gripe about all of this is that I wish the smell was less manly, but it's like ordering a cheeseburger and then complaining about the cheese. Whether man or woman, you will love this wax.
