Not just for Xbox; Great external drive for PC

I bought a 12TB model. Not sure why the 8TB model is listed for more products and the 12TB model is listed for Xbox only. As other buyers have noted, Windows recognizes it (as 10.9 TB) with no problem. I received this product to use as a spare drive for a RAID 10 array on a Win10 PC used as a media server. What struck me about this product was that for $300 it was very difficult to find an alternative that beats its cost in 1) high capacity, 2) great performance, and 3) an easy to use solution. Buying a single 12TB hard drive won't be cheaper than this drive, and I still need some kind of case to hide it. I could have spent $50 less for a 10-14TB WD My Book drive, but that would be about half the write speed of this drive (240MB/s). And while I could put together an additional RAID array to use with a few cheaper drives as a backup, it's certainly far less convenient to maintain than a single backup solution. I wish I had bought one of these when it was $250! UPDATE: I bought a second one, this time for my main PC. Modern PC cases have dropped support for 5.25" media drives and 3.5" hard drives. To provide flexibility for my next PC build I tried to find a way to getting these things out of my build and plugging them in via USB. A few weeks ago I found a nice OWC case for copying a 4k UHD disc. Recently I've been trying to find some kind of hard drive enclosure and plug it directly into my PC. After spending several hours looking at cases from Orico, OWC, QNAP, etc., comparing USB speeds and RAID support. I remembered this product. To be honest, I couldn't think of an easier way to get my 3.5" drives out of a PC case, lots of storage, 200+ MB/s write speeds and almost no hassle. Noise issues as I doubt it will be louder than my PC's fans under load. and almost zero effort. I'm not worried about noise issues as I doubt it will be louder than my PC's fans under load. and almost zero effort. I'm not worried about noise issues because I doubt it
