I don't know what kind of paper it is, but as a watercolor paper it's absolutely UNUSEABLE. if you don't want the paint to bead up and form discrete pieces of pigmented color on the paper. Watercolor paper was designed to blend color and create seamless edges where different colors meet, but that's not the case. The front is very grainy/uneven (not "jagged" like watercolor paper). The back is very smooth and has no "teeth" that could be used for watercolor techniques. PS: I quickly drew 2 pictures with the same colors, techniques etc to show how horrible this paper is and attached 3 photos 1 - The top is real toilet paper and the bottom is this paper. 2 - regular toilet paper. 3 is this paper. You can clearly see the difference in the pictures; This paper seems to separate the pigments, especially in the leaves.
