It works, but I wouldn't call it an "elegant" solution. It's designed to either hang on an interior door (which I do - my closet door is 1 3/8" and fits snugly - that's the target size) or wall mounted - it comes with a set of 2 Supplied with Phillips slots. cap screws and dowels. It hangs very low, but my standard size ironing board lifts the bottom a few inches. As for the iron, I guess it depends on your iron model, but I have a Rowenta and it's kind of plugged into the holder at a weird angle and the power cord has nowhere to go (when I've wrapped it around the base of). the iron as by design, they would not fit in the holder.) I am attaching some photos I took with my phone. Generally it is made from inexpensive materials (which keeps the price down). It works, comes to me and does what I need, but doesn't fit very well.
