Rock hard and very well made. Can be a daunting task for the A6600 for the first few uses. Just be aware of the camera strap loops, they don't need to be removed but can get in the way when putting on this cage. In most cases you will have to remove the lens to put it on. So practice the installation in a quiet place first or leave it on after installation. One obvious use for this is to move the microphone away from the flip screen. Note, however, that the cage bar that runs along the top of the camera still limits the view of the screen when folded. However, it's still easier to see and photograph than when your mic is blocking it.
