I bought this mirror to use as a standalone mirror on my makeup and skincare desk. From the description the light would be bright enough on some settings to turn this on but the light isn't really bright. Maybe enough for reading but don't judge your makeup, plan on some extra light and use Just use it as a desktop mirror. Otherwise the product does what it promises, but I am very disappointed that it cannot catch enough fire. ^ This is after putting the batteries in and charging them overnight if that caused the problem.
