32 " exceeds 1080p resolution

Dell S3222HG 32" 165Hz Curved Gaming Monitor: I tried going from 27" 1080p to this 32" 1080p. I didn't think that this increase would make such a big difference (in terms of pixels per inch) , but it does. My old monitor doesn't seem to have any color depth. I can see the color changing lines in the Clearly see the image with a gradual gradient. I never noticed this with my old monitor. In the photographs of people's faces, the lines of the gradient are clearly visible.
