Review on 🦖 OptiFlex Hybrid ZillaGreen: Premium Lightweight and Heavy-Duty by Andrew Dickens

This is so close to five stars I am torn to give this one. I needed a light, flexible hose that I could cut to length for an HVLP spray gun. I wanted to purchase a product from one of their hose assembly centers but none was on site. So I bought a 50ft hose, cut it to the length I wanted and added new ends to both hoses, now I have two. This material is really light and flexible. I wouldn't say it's as light as some plastic hoses, but it's half the weight of rubber hose and is rated at 300psi. It was ridiculously easy to attach their ends to the tubing. Lies well, there are no problems with memory. I'm really very impressed with the hose and tips. Now for the shortcomings of the product. The hose is so light that it does not lie flat when bent. It's a REALLY tiny and minor knock, I have the PE hose it replaces and it's much worse in that regard, the old rubber hoses do too and weigh twice as much. Airflow, this 1/4" hose will not let as much air through as a regular 1/4" hose. The design of the fittings makes the port diameter approximately .168 inches, which obviously gives the barb enough metal to be strong, but this is a bottleneck in the hose. You can buy a 3/8 inch hose and completely solve this problem. together if you really need CFM. After all, this is not a cheap thing, especially the cost of equipment.
