Our 5yo picked this out for herself as a birthday present, and she loves it. No, it's not the best quality toy ever as it's your typical plastic toy, but it's definitely not the worst either. This stickers that it comes with to add on little details are cute. It's perfect for her since it looks realistic enough for her to pretend but doesn't create the mess for me of a real makeup kit. She's been using it nonstop since she got it and we've all had multiple trips to her salon for various beauty treatments. ;)For those who have said it doesn't close--it does. You just have to remove the pink things on the sides (they very easily pop on and off) and then everything fits under the tray. Maybe some are defective or something, but ours closes easily and our 5yo can clasp and unclasp it just fine. Maybe for younger kids this would be harder, though.The seller is great to work with too, which is a plus!
