This is required if you have a Jackery or similar. Since my wife and I have been working from home for the past year and a half, our second car (a 2015 4Runner) has completely stopped without even chirping when using the fob. We've jumped on it a few times and it's so dead that even jumping with our other truck takes a good 10 minutes to charge. I have used these cables with my jackety and let them change the battery for about an hour using about 12% of the jackety 500 and my 4Runner started right away and I have to say it started fine and no sluggish starter revs like with the battery is almost sat down, but a clear start.
