I needed a frame to accommodate the 40cm square size needed for several seat upholstery projects so I can work faster with both hands and work longer and less tiring. I want to spend a lot of money because needlework is not one of my usual hobbies. My work stays nice and strong because I attached the top and bottom to the rungs with padding yarn and the ability to scroll up and down helped keep it clean and fur-free. I used to put one foot on the floor or put the frame on the armrest of the chair or on me. I'm taking off a star because the assembly instructions could have been clearer - I just looked at the picture of the box because it was easier - and because serious embroidery people want something that's probably a little better and will stand up to years of heavy use and not be constrained by yoke sleeves and because I had to put floor protectors on my legs and I would get them dirty myself. I would buy this again.
