We have a 40lb dog who just got a TPLO for a torn cruciate ligament. Her neck (walking collar) measures to 15inches and we went with the XL. It fits her perfectly.As you may notice from the fleece pile, my doggo is a creature of comfort. She was restless, vocal, uncomfortable, didn’t sleep at all the first night with her plastic collar - despite being wrapping in 4 fleece blankets, unheard of - and then this collar arrived the following afternoon to save the day. The minute I put this on her she fell right asleep (pic) and was comfortable in all positions she switched too throughout the rest of the night.This product is a life saver. My dogs comfort has improved immensely and she is now able to get the R&R she needs to heal, and I am now able to have peace of mind shes not going to get at her stitches when I’m not able to watch over her. As an added bonus, the plastic collar is so ridged and big she is unable to move around alone and would have very easily tripped or gotten caught up and hurt herself if I was not monitoring her, this collar does not compromise her mobility or vision.
