Great tool for working with clay. I make clay tiles to decorate small items like boxes. This tool allows me to maintain a consistent thickness of the clay which I then press the patterns into to get the best results for the look of the final product. The tool is easy to use. The product says 8 "nails" but that's a typo, those are splints. There are 4 sets of 2 rails each. Each set of guides of the same height allows you to easily roll clay of a certain thickness - 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4". The rails fit into grooves on the left and right sides of the board and the roller rolls over the clay, while keeping the roller at a certain height of the rails inserted into the board. If you need to roll clay to the described thickness, this tool will make your job much easier. And, of course, the rails cannot be used to roll plasticine of any thickness on a surface that is easy to remove after rolling. Also, there's no reason you can't make your own rails for different heights than those included in the kit.
