I used to buy Peanut Delight at a local store but we save about 10% by buying in bulk here. The birds here absolutely love this stuff. I have a lard feeder, a regular seed feeder (using oil sunflower seeds) and a watering station. Currently I have to refill the lard feeders every day because they suck up the stuff. I've tried many different flavors of lard and Peanut Delight is the most popular. We have plenty of thrushes, tits, nuthatches and woodpeckers on lard, as well as European starlings (not keen on them, but they should eat too!). Cardinals, wrens, finches and sparrows seem to prefer sunflower seeds, but will sometimes jump to the lard when no other birds are around, and grieving doves and squirrels will eat what falls to the ground. contained only Peanut Delight lard and each individual pack had seals intact at the top and plastic around the entire block of lard and plastic around the large box. No problem with blocks of fat that are too dry or too wet and no mold. I only buy it during the colder months when food is scarce as the birds in our area have plenty to eat during the summer months. My guess is that here in North Carolina (Charlotte) it will melt in the summer due to the high heat and humidity.
