I think the unbridled brutality of the 2 year old I bought them for was just too much for them when after less than a week began to detach . I would like to point out that this kid doesn't even have the strength to peel a banana, but apparently he can peel Melissa and Doug's block of wood. Wonderful. It just seems impossible to screw up, you know? You take a piece of light wood, paint it with non-toxic paint and the child plays with it. This is a start-to-finish process for creating and using a toy block of wood. And yet the people who make these things still manage to mess things up. God I miss the days when everything you bought wasn't just cheap junk.
