Packed securely in plastic and foam corners. Mine arrived undamaged. This is a great little unit. The tank is delivered fully assembled. The plastic pad isn't sticky, but mine didn't have a scratch. The bottom is white acrylic and the sides are crystal clear, I can splash water and it's waterproof. There are air holes on the sides and lots on top, wish there were more on the sides to increase airflow. The top slides out and is held in place with magnets. I tried to keep the snake houdini inside and because the rim is protected by two pieces of acrylic, she couldn't get the lid off! IMPRESSIVE! It works fantastic for my tarantulas and that's why I will be using it for a long time.
