So shiny! Computer Components

First of all I am very happy with this case as it is my first computer! My goal with the build was to be able to run multiple graphics, audio, and video programs that I knew would already work on the warm side without even considering my games. My laptop only gets hot from Photoshop. The four built-in fans, combined with the CPU, PSU, and graphics card fans, keep temperatures at a reasonable temp (GPU 90 and HDDs 79 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment with a few browser windows open), around 110 for less intense gaming. like Bastion. The highest I've seen so far was 140 on the GPU, with the built-in tower fans running at low speeds. When the fans are running at full speed, everything lights up! I would like the lights to stay on and the fans to turn down, but I think that's a good indicator that they're off or going low. Maybe when the battery charge is low, only all the other LEDs light up? Installing the components was pretty easy for the most part. Some corners were a little tight to insert forks while talking like a woman with slender hands. I think even 1/4 inch of extra space between the motherboard and some solid edges in the case would help. I don't know if it's just a combo with my motherboard size or not (hey first build and no comparison! wow!) so maybe other combos would allocate more space. I really like the glass sides. From some angles it looks like the glass isn't there and I had to tap on it to see if I could get it back or not!*lol*One of my problems is that the DVD drive has nowhere to go.External components are pretty cheap so no problem but it would be nice to have in one device. It would also ruin the clean design on the front so I still don't know how I really feel about not having a slot. Another issue is that the rear fan is a 3 pin connector and there is no adapter for it or mention that it needs to be mounted so we had to wait with that part. Easy to fix, just annoying. For the price: I highly recommend keeping this in mind if you are considering this. According to the review, it costs $109.99. Another reviewer said they paid $80 (I don't know when they bought theirs but the review date is the same month). I bought it for $88 during Black Friday, as you can see the price fluctuates a lot.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Annoying
