The same day I ordered several thread repair bits (8-32NC to 1/2-13NC) from Drill America through Revain. They're all hexagonal, well threaded, and offer multi-start engagement, which is what I'd expect from useful re-thread matrices. However, there are differences in the spacing between the planers (from 1" for 8-32NC to 11/16" for 5/16-18NC) as well as in the thickness of the dies (7/16" for 7/16 -14NC and 3/8" for 1/2-13NC.) All Drill America part numbers use DWTHX followed by a fractional thread number; some consistency can be expected except for thread differences. The thickness and hex spacing are not listed in the product description Don't expect consistency or an exact match to the outer dimensions of the die when trying to replace a lost or broken die from a set but otherwise they appear to be well made.
