Irwin Tools 9739 10mm 1.25 Inch Review

I made the mistake of not using the nuts that came with the new shocks I installed and the top of the thread on the Shock leg broken. This saved me from having to buy another damper. Moral of the story, use the new parts and use these if you haven't and screwed up.

I bought a useless universal thread repair tool here at Revain and it ruined some welded studs even worse than they were. I really didn't want to weld in new ones so I bought this little gem and it restored everything perfectly in one pass! I couldn't believe it; these threads were discarded by another cheap instrument. That thing saved my ass!

I need something to clean the 8-year-old cat thread on my Acura TL. A bolt broke off when removing and I didn't want a repeat of having to remove them again. This matrix worked great for removing surface rust and restoring threads. I've paired it with a 3 piece Irwin tap set to thread factory nuts and now they work together in perfect harmony.
