Good quality but bad application/concept

The build quality is good, the lens is excellent. I have many Freewell products and they are all of very high quality. And I'm a big fan of CPL and PL when shooting videos and photos. This isn't the sort of product for Gopro, though - unless you're shooting everything in widest crop mode. First of all, Gopro has a very wide lens, and the biggest limitation of the circular polarizer is that it produces an uneven light distribution - for example, the color of the sky will be uneven. If you really need a polarizer, you should buy the non-circular one I have. However, the gain you get might not outweigh the problems it brings - 1.6 levels of light will be blocked. The nature of the GoPro requires a fast shutter speed to ensure stabilization (forget the 180 rule if you don't want to use the GoPro as a stationary video camera), which means that the more light hitting the sensor, the better and more stable it becomes the video. receive. In many cases, e.g. B. walking through the woods during the day, a 1.6 stop light difference makes my footage too shaky to use. As such, I only use it in very limited situations - kayaking in direct sunlight or in an environment with strong light reflections. Otherwise I would have preferred the light to the color/contrast boost from PL.
