Updated: The company took great care of the quality. This rug keeps my cat away from the counter. I've tested the durability on myself and while uncomfortable, it's tolerable and just a little uncomfortable. I love my kitten so I don't want her to be in pain. I just want him to know where not to go. I highly recommend this if you have an animal that jumps on surfaces that you don't want either.

Great product. We lasted a week and our three dogs can't get on our couch anymore. The best part is the settings. You can choose the device that suits your dog based on size, temperament, etc. After a few days we turned it off and see if they notice or not. The only thing I can recommend is to be careful.
