I really like the sleeve design on this dress. I think the slight overlap design is called tulip sleeves. Anyways, the resulting shape is very flattering in terms of covering up a little bit of my chubby upper arm and making it look just a bit slimmer.I machine washed it and hung it to dry on a hanger. The material is super thin and dried quickly, the texture is similar to a lot of my chiffon blouses but has a slightly crinkled texture and was rougher to the touch. Not a deal breaker, just something to note if you have very sensitive skin. It didn’t bother me too much.The pleats held up well after the wash and maintained the sharp creases. The overall top fit well and didn’t lose shape or shrink after washing.One thing I took off a star for was the keyhole design. The sharp crease on the bottom of the keyhole is folded over and out, obviously excess fabric and not meant to look like that. The material retained all the pleats so well, the flipped over excess fabric is also permanently stuck that way and really detracts from the rest of the top since it’s in such a noticeable spot. If it were a round smooth shape like the keyhole design in many of my other tops, this would have been a 5 star item.
