Review on NETGEAR GS728TP 100NAS Ethernet Lifetime Protection by Michael Harden

I installed two of these and found them to be a top notch solution for powering and running 17 POE IP -Cameras and devices are smart home type. One of these counters has been operational for 18 months while the others have been operational for 2 months at different locations. if I periodically restart them remotely as a maintenance procedure. I was able to remove a few smaller daisy chain switches and POE hubs to save space and keep my equipment closet cool (heat is the enemy of most electronics, especially when left alone for 6 months). I haven't found an equivalent device for the value it offers from any other manufacturer, the 28 port capability is quite impressive and useful.
