Review on 🚿 Hansgrohe 94282000 Small Brass 3/4-Inch Thermostatic Cartridge by Kenyatta Mack

Every few years I have to clean the cartridge due to mineral deposits. After the last cleaning, the temperature of the water was very hot at first and dropped to lukewarm at the end of the shower. So I bought this replacement. It maintains a fairly constant temperature, but the flow rate is a bit slower than the original. The original used metal screens to get water into the cartridge, while this replacement uses what appears to be a composite material with holes in it. It looks like the screens could let more water through. They probably changed the design to counteract the mineral buildup issue. The original was about 10 years old. I cleaned it by soaking it in white vinegar for about half an hour. As a side note, after initially installing the light, we found that the flow rate was a bit slower than we would like, so we removed the flow restrictor washer.
