This is an accurate, inexpensive IR thermometer. I compared it to two other models I own and a FLIR camera and it came within 1/10th of a degree of all the others. My only complaint is the battery door: its inner frame isn't big enough to hold two cameras. AAA batteries are provided. At least one of my batteries needs to be reinserted before each use. Unfortunately, I have seen this on many models with AAA. This can be corrected by adding some hard, non-conductive material; It's just frustrating that this is still a common problem.
