After spending so much money on a U by Moen valve and regulator, why save on a backup battery? Get it right the first time; can be difficult to add later. The product is expensive but worth it! In my recent do-it-yourself bathroom remodeling workshop, we enlarged the shower so that the showerheads were far from the door. A conventional valve would go a long way and I'd get wet just twisting it open. U by Moen solved this problem by allowing me to place the control panel right in the door on the opposite side of the spray heads. I bought a 2 way shower head valve and three body jets. Our shower is always the perfect temperature as soon as we step in (I like 38 degrees and my wife likes 109) and stays the temperature even when someone is doing the dishes, doing laundry or flushing the toilet.
