Modification Required

While designed and specified for the 2008 Pontiac G6 and properly shaped, the trim rings will not fit without modification. There are 4 protrusions on the back of each trim ring that completely prevent it from sitting flush with the grille. I have no idea what they were thinking. The OEM does not have these additional tabs. I ended up cutting them all off so they would at least fit acceptably. So a five-minute job turned into an hour or more of fuss. I should have just returned them.
