I use these in my 6" vise to replace some of the lower quality plastic jaws. I often use them to hold thinner parts and they can be clamped firmly without breaking the pads or my parts damage as the pads are in an aluminum frame there are magnets in the aluminum parts and they stick easily to my vise without also falling off at an angle or upside down The overall quality is good and I've used them quite a bit over the past few days and the rubber is holding up good. The rubber surface has a kind of grooved texture that makes it easier to grip without damaging delicate parts. Much nicer than all the plastic sponges and they don't take up much space in my tool box when I'm not using them. A simple and handy little vise, which I would recommend to anyone using a vise and working with thin tubing or parts coming off the vise metal jaws can be scratched. No complaints, I'm very happy with it.
