Jeep crash bars are perfect! Also note that the design has a square corner on all four rails (which I wanted because the OEM design is rounded). But there were no screws in my kit. I shook, scratched, searched and, no! No screws. Contacted the seller to clarify the address. On my 2018 Renegade Altitude, the rear guard fits perfectly with the four mounting screws and holes (three on the side and one on the bottom) eliminating the need for screws on the back. On the front protection bars, screws are required for the top two holes on each side of the vehicle, a total of four screws (2x2) are required. I wouldn't recommend anything longer than 1/4" just to go through the original manufacturer's plastic fender trim. I think the good thing about being forced to buy my own bolts is that I can use stainless or zinc plated bolts can get the size I want. Lengths that only penetrate the plastic fairing and not the fender metal that is just behind the fairing. The screws that usually come with these kits are cheap and tend to rust. " Screwdriver for the sides (to clean the tire) - remove 4 standard screws on each side, install the skid plate and replace the screws. Install the front skid plate - turn the steering wheel *towards* the side you want to mount - a regular Phillips head screwdriver for the bottom 2 screws - remove - Phillips head screwdriver for self tapping top 2 additional screws - mount fender, replace bottom screws first - tighten , screw the top 2 screws into the plastic fender trim You have these tools with you. But first you need to drill your own holes in the OEM plastic fairing.
