When I turned it on and connected the fans as per the instructions I thought it was a jet engine and it was gearing up before take off. Loud isn't the right word, maybe loud. After almost contacting the company and getting frustrated that I had spent a bit on it, I remembered that other fans I have work fine with 3.3V, and guess what that does. Connect the black to the 3rd pin as for 5V, but the red connects to the 1st pin on the opposite side. These are the last 6 pins, the third is the same ground as on 5V: 0 0 xx 0 0
