Review on 🚗 Dorman 924-251 Front Windshield Washer Hose: Suitable for Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC Models - Black by Richard Muncy

This washer hose has fitted Chevrolet Silverado for many years - mine is 2002. It goes from the windshield washer reservoir to the connector just behind the battery on the fender. Since it bends to fit in a standard shipping box, you'll need to adjust the bends. They need to be straightened slightly to about 90 degree arcs. This can be checked by looking at the old part before removing it. Some people have mentioned using hot water or a heat gun to soften the curves. For simplicity, I used a candle in a jar. Holding the overly bent sections about two inches above the flame, I rocked the piece back and forth, twisting it as far as I could until it started to loosen each bend. I stopped when the turns were about 90 degrees. Look online for part replacement recommendations. I countersunk the piece in place for rough alignment. I found that I could reach the hose elbow on the reservoir pump under the truck by grabbing the bumper. I used a forked plate removal tool to loosen the tubing, although a screwdriver might also work. My hand got wet as the washer fluid began to spill, but I braced myself and quickly squeezed my new elbow. I may not have actually had to remove the battery for this job, but I have already removed it. Other buyers commented that this part didn't last long for them. I just installed mine today. I will update my review if I encounter any issues.
