I replaced the halogen under-cabinet mounting system with this one. The lighting is brighter, less heat, the cables are smaller, the washers are thinner and more energy efficient. I had to cut and splice the wires a bit to get a custom fit as some washers were relatively close to the transformer and others far enough away that the wire was too short. It would be nice if there was a method to cut the wire to length. Cutting and splicing took up 90% of the installation time. I shopped at big stores first and LED kits were $30-$50 for $30-$50. My setup called for six so it wasn't difficult for me. Just finished yesterday so time will tell if they hold up.
